APOCALYPSE NOW - RESTORED DIGITAL PRINT BACK IN CINEMAS!
Heralded by many as the film that crystallizes most perfectly the experience of the Vietnam War, Francis Ford Coppola’s hallucinatory masterpiece APOCALYPSE NOW has been painstakingly restored by his own Zoetrope studios under his close supervision, and will be released back in cinemas by Optimum Releasing on May 27th 2011 and then in a special 3-disc edition blu-ray on June 13th 2011.
Martin Sheen (TV’s The West Wing) stars as Army Captain Willard, a troubled man sent on a dangerous top-secret mission into Cambodia to assassinate a rogue Green Beret, Col. Kurtz (Marlon Brando, The Godfather, On the Waterfront, Last Tango in Paris), who has barricaded himself in a remote outpost. As Willard ventures deeper and deeper into the wilderness of the jungle, he embarks on a strange journey that leads him to Kurtz – but also forces him to come face to face with the terrifying vision of the heart of darkness in us all.

Optimum Releasing are proud to announce that they will be releasing Nic Roeg’s classic Don’t Look Now on blu-ray for the first time in the UK, following a full digital restoration approved by Nic Roeg himself. Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie star in Nic Roeg’s brilliantly atmospheric adaptation of the novel by Daphne du Maurier. Following the death of their daughter, John and Laura Baxter travel to Venice where he is to oversee the restoration of an old church. Here they encounter a pair of elderly sisters: one of them a blind psychic who claims to have been in communication with the couple’s dead child. Whilst Laura is intrigued John resists the idea, despite the possibility that he is having his own visions that threaten to put his life in danger….
