A much admired pre-cursor to the Kitchen Sink dramas of the early 60s, WOMAN IN A DRESSING GOWN is an intimate, very British portrait of the fall-out that occurs when a husband (Anthony Quayle) decides to leave his wife for a younger, more beautiful woman (Sylvia Syms). Yvonne Mitchell’s performance in the title role won her great acclaim and the Best Actress award at the Berlin Film Festival.
